Invest Barbados continues its promotional thrust in the captive insurance sector. The Barbados team will participate in the CICA 2026 International Conference. This three-day conference will take place at the J.W. Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa, Palm Desert, California, from March 8-10.
Several attendees across the captive industry and others seeking innovative solutions within the field will gather at this anticipated event.
The CICA International Conference was designed to bring together the best captive professionals globally in a domicile-neutral setting to engage new talent, explore new uses of captives, as well as pinpoint best practices within the industry.
For decades, Barbados has remained in the top ten domiciles for captive insurance. As at December 31, 2025, there were 276 active insurance companies in Barbados.
