Barbados Expo 2025 Osaka
Barbados is participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai in Japan, a World Expo which is generally held every five years in different countries across the globe. The Expo is designed to bring together people and innovations from around the world to address and find solutions to challenges facing humankind globally. This year, the spotlight for the World Expo will shine on Japan, the well-known East Asian country and a leader in technological innovations. The six-month event, which runs from April 13 to October 13, will feature 150 countries and 25 international organisations and is anticipated to attract eight billion people.
Invest Barbados, the investment promotion agency of the Government of Barbados, will be spearheading Barbados’ participation in the Expo in collaboration with the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., Export Barbados and the National Cultural Foundation. Flying our flag high and proud, Barbados’ theme: “Barbados is Life: Empowering Our People, Transforming the World” will be showcased at its pavilion.

Barbados Pavilion - Official Opening at Expo 2025!
CEO, Invest Barbados and Commissioner General of the Barbados Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kaye Greenidge, declared the Pavilion officially open at the recently held ribbon cutting ceremony. In addition to members of Team Barbados, several attendees including Expo staff, exhibitors and visitors, were present to witness the exciting occasion.

Sights and scenes of the Barbados Pavilion
Over the past few weeks since the Barbados’ Pavilion’s official opening, the pavilion has been a hive of activity, with visitors of all ages passing through to learn more about Barbados, our rich culture, people and business opportunities. Barbadians visiting or living in Japan also stopped by to say hello. Barbados welcomed its 100,000th visitor to the pavilion on May 10.
