The third iteration of the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum (ACTIF) will be held in Nassau, The Bahamas from June 12-14, 2024, at the Baha Mar Convention, Arts & Entertainment Centre.
Under the overarching theme, ‘Owning Our Destiny: Economic Prosperity on the Platform of Global Africa’, the business forum is designed in part to offer solutions to address issues that affect African/Caribbean economies, as well as to drive intra-African trade and investment flows between the two regions.
Proud sponsor of this year’s ACTIF, Team Barbados (comprising Barbados Investment Marketing Inc, Export Barbados and Invest Barbados), and co-organiser of the inaugural event held in Barbados in 2022, will be participating in ACTIF 2024, showcasing the Barbados brand, as it relates to trade and tourism in addition to investment opportunities in a range of sectors including financial services, captive insurance ICT, manufacturing, renewable energy and more.
The event is anticipated to attract more than 1,000 attendees, mainly from Africa, the Caribbean and North America that will include thought leaders, senior government officials, corporate leaders, bankers and academics. In addition to thought provoking presentations and panel discussions, there will be several networking opportunities geared toward creating and strengthening bonds among delegates.
Subsequent to the inaugural ACTIF, the Africa Export-Import Bank established a Caribbean branch office in Barbados in August 2023. The second ACTIF was held in Guyana in October of that year.
