DESCRIPTION:The third iteration of the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment F
 orum (ACTIF) will be held in Nassau\, The Bahamas from June 12-14\, 2024\,
  at the Baha Mar Convention\, Arts &amp\; Entertainment Centre.\n\nUnder t
 he overarching theme\, ‘Owning Our Destiny: Economic Prosperity on the P
 latform of Global Africa’\, the business forum is designed in part to of
 fer solutions to address issues that affect African/Caribbean economies\, 
 as well as to drive intra-African trade and investment flows between the t
 wo regions.\n\nProud sponsor of this year’s ACTIF\, Team Barbados (compr
 ising Barbados Investment Marketing Inc\, Export Barbados and Invest Barba
 dos)\, and co-organiser of the inaugural event held in Barbados in 2022\, 
 will be participating in ACTIF 2024\, showcasing the Barbados brand\, as i
 t relates to trade and tourism in addition to investment opportunities in 
 a range of sectors including financial services\, captive insurance ICT\, 
 manufacturing\, renewable energy and more.\n\nThe event is anticipated to 
 attract more than 1\,000 attendees\, mainly from Africa\, the Caribbean an
 d North America that will include thought leaders\, senior government offi
 cials\, corporate leaders\, bankers and academics.  In addition to though
 t provoking presentations and panel discussions\, there will be several ne
 tworking opportunities geared toward creating and strengthening bonds amon
 g delegates.\n\nSubsequent to the inaugural ACTIF\, the Africa Export-Impo
 rt Bank established a Caribbean branch office in Barbados in August 2023. 
 The second ACTIF was held in Guyana in October of that year.\n\nVisit Team
