Barbados is participating in Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai in Japan, a World Expo which is generally held every five years in different countries across the globe. The Expo is designed to bring together people and innovations from around the world to address and find solutions to challenges facing humankind globally. This year, the spotlight for the World Expo will shine on Japan, the well-known East Asian country and a leader in technological innovations. The six-month event, which runs from April 13 to October 13, will feature 150 countries and 25 international organisations and is anticipated to attract eight billion people.

Invest Barbados, the investment promotion agency of the Government of Barbados, will be spearheading Barbados’ participation in the Expo in collaboration with the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc., Export Barbados and the National Cultural Foundation. Flying our flag high and proud, the Barbados’ theme: “Barbados is Life: Empowering Our People, Transforming the World” will be showcased at its pavilion.
