Invest Barbados recognised excellence, dedication and long service at its annual Christmas Luncheon and Awards Ceremony, held last December at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre.

Several staff members were recognised for their commitment and contribution to the organisation. Among these were the 15-Year Length of Service Awardees, which included Nicola Clarke, Senior Research Officer; Shara Bourne, Secretary, Human Resources; and Joy Holder-Murrell, recently retired Executive Secretary to the CEO.

The prestigious CEO Award of Excellence was presented to Adrian Sealy, Manager, Investment Generation and Aftercare. This award recognises a team member who exemplifies professionalism, excellence and quality of service; demonstrates sustained excellence in work performance; exhibits a high level of initiative and creativity; and makes an outstanding contribution through leadership and involvement in the development and implementation of special projects, among other criteria.

Members of the team who represented Barbados at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan, were also recognised for their stellar service in the Barbados Pavilion over the six-month duration from April 13 to October 13. Adrian Sealy, who also served as Deputy Commissioner General of the Barbados Pavilion, along with consultants Laurel Hunte and Kyle Inniss, received the Award for Excellent Work and Commitment to Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan.

At the luncheon and awards ceremony, Chairman of the Board, Dr. Jeremy Nurse, addressed the gathering of staff and Board members. Dr. Nurse commended the Invest Barbados team for their hard work throughout the year and briefly outlined a future focused roadmap for the upcoming financial year.

CEO Kaye Greenidge also expressed appreciation to staff for their dedication, commitment and contribution to the Corporation’s mandate of attracting, landing and sustaining foreign direct investment for Barbados. She provided a recap of the Corporation’s steady performance to date and shared an optimistic outlook for the 2026/27 financial year, as well as Invest Barbados’ upcoming 20-year anniversary as an economic development agency, to be recognised on October 1, 2026.
