As part of Invest Barbados’ promotional outreach to the UK market, the Corporation recently hosted its inaugural event in Belfast, North Ireland.

The business forum was attended by approximately 50 specially invited business executives from across North Ireland’s business community.

Among the presenters at the event were H. E. Milton Inniss, High Commissioner for Barbados to the United Kingdom of Great Britain & Northern Ireland, Ms Kaye Greendige, CEO, Invest Barbados and Ms. Suzanne Wylie, CEO, Northern Island Chamber of Commerce & Industry, who welcomed Invest Barbados to Northern Ireland for the signature event, noting that the investment promotion agency played a unique role in strengthening ties between both jurisdictions.

During her presentation, CEO Greenidge mentioned that the growing interest from Northern Ireland businesses demonstrated a high level of confidence in Barbados, as well as brought the focus to Barbados’ business advantages.

In addition to presenting Barbados’ diverse range of investment opportunities in sectors including financial services, ICT, fintech, global education and niche manufacturing among others, the event also served as the perfect occasion for H.E. Milton Innis to officially launch the 2025 UK Investment and Trade Mission to Barbados, which will be held in November.

The UK Inward Investment and Trade Mission to Barbados, now in its sixth year, aims to provide UK companies with the opportunity to establish or expand operations in Barbados, while also using the jurisdiction as a Caribbean hub to access business opportunities and explore regional and global markets.
