The Central Bank of Barbados has officially launched its national instant payment system, BimPay, which is scheduled to go live on March 31, 2026.
This exciting, modern system is designed to change the way people in Barbados send and receive money. BimPay will allow users to make secure, real-time payments and get access to their funds immediately – anytime, anywhere.
BimPay will be available to everyone, including individuals and businesses in both the public and private sectors. It is part of the Bank’s commitment to greater financial inclusion, making it easier for people to access and use financial services.
This important initiative, which marks a pivotal step in Barbados’ digital transformation, will not only benefit the financial services sector, but all Barbadians.
