Invest Barbados is honoured to be a proud partner of the Cross Continental Forum (CCF) 2025, hosted by the CaribbeanTales Media Group in association with the Department of Creative and Performing Arts, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. This transformative event returns to Barbados for its second year from June 14–18, bringing together leading voices in the global film and television industries.

Under the powerful theme “Decolonising Co-Production,” the CCF provides a vital platform for filmmakers, producers and cultural entrepreneurs from the UK, Canada, South Africa and across the Caribbean to connect, collaborate and explore new models of financing, storytelling and ownership. This year’s forum coincides with the 20th anniversary of the CaribbeanTales International Film Festival (CTFF), which will be launched in Barbados with a plethora of events throughout the course of the week. The festivities begin with the Opening Night Celebration on June 13 at Haymans Market, St. Peter. This anniversary milestone underscores the region’s growing importance as a hub for cultural expression and international film development.

Invest Barbados promotes film as one of the country’s investment opportunities. As such, our continued support of the CCF reflects our commitment to fostering sustainable investment and supporting the growth of the local and regional film industries. Barbados continues to place focus on creating an enhanced enabling environment for both local and international productions including incentives and legislative support.

The CCF is more than a convening of creatives; it is a convergence of cultures, ideas and innovations. It presents an unparalleled opportunity to build bridges between regions, empower creators from the Global Majority and foster partnerships that shape a more equitable global media landscape.

Invest Barbados encourages all creatives, industry professionals and the general public to attend the week’s public events and experience this dynamic celebration of film and cultural exchange.
