The Role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director – Investment Generation & Aftercare will lead the Corporation’s investment attraction and aftercare efforts and will be responsible for identifying priority investment sectors and key markets. He/she will develop and influence relevant policy frameworks and propose procedures to further improve the local business environment, thereby promoting Barbados as a viable and sustainable investment location. The Director – Investment Generation & Aftercare will also target current/potential investors for investment opportunities.
The ideal candidate will possess:
Master’s Degree in Business Administration/International Business/Marketing or related discipline plus a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record of high performance, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/International Business/Marketing or related discipline plus a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record of high performance. Experience in developing and implementing new strategies with a working knowledge of the needs of global business investors. Knowledgeable of the laws, regulations and best practices as they relate to investment attraction and retention.
