Invest Barbados was part of a delegation including representatives from other local agencies, as well as those from Guyana, that visited Europe to gain insight and best practices relative to the technology transfer system in that region, particularly in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors.

Organised by the FIIAPP – the Foundation of the Spanish Cooperation System specialised in the promotion of public policies – the delegation’s visits included universities, research centres and companies across Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and France.

In addition to Invest Barbados, other local representatives included those from Export Barbados, the University of the West Indies – Cave Hill, Future Barbados and the EU Delegation to Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean States, OECS and CARICOM/CARIFORUM.
