‘The Barbados Talent Show – Next’ returns to this year’s South by Southwest exhibition on Friday, March 18, 2011 at the West Tent, Brush Square Park. The artistes on show will be the internationally recognised bands Nexcyx and Kite along with the group Threads of Scarlett and solo acts, Wesu, Phillip 7 and iNDRANi. The bands Nexcyx and Kite will be showcased on the same day at Barbarella Patio and 512 Rooftop respectively. During the festival, the Barbados contingent can be found at Stand 613, 615.

Outside of the festival, Invest Barbados will also be hosting a ‘Barbados Night’ on Wednesday March 16 from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Austin Art + Music Partnership, 411 W. Monroe Street.

The Barbados delegation will be led by the CEO of Invest Barbados Mr. Wayne Kirton. Manager of the Indigenous Services Exports Division, Ms. Sophia Lewis and Business Development Officer, Mr. Neil Weekes will also accompany the delegation attending this dynamic music forum.

The South by Southwest Music + Film Festival, is one of the largest music industry shows in the United States. Now in its 25th year, the event held in Dallas, Texas, has grown to attract some 12,000 registrants every year, bringing together the top executives and the brightest new talent from all over the world.
