Invest Barbados announced today that it has retained the services of Francoise L. M. Hendy to support the agency’s marketing and promotion of Barbados’ international business and financial services sector.

Francoise, an attorney, is the outgoing Director of International Business in the Ministry of International Business and International Transport, a position which she held for the past eight years. Based in London, Ms. Hendy will concentrate primarily on the European and Asian markets.

CEO of Invest Barbados, Wayne Kirton said that he was delighted to have the benefit of Ms. Hendy’s considerable treaty negotiating experience and legal expertise in the areas of international tax and investment, enabling the Corporation to expand its marketing efforts in both new and established markets. He added that Ms. Hendy would also be writing technical articles and conducting training in the area of international tax and the Barbados treaty network, for both Corporation staff and interested service providers in the international business community in Barbados.

Ms. Hendy takes up her overseas posting on March 15, 2011.
