Caribbean LED Lighting Inc. (CLL), a fast growing Barbados based company, recently announced its largest export order to date. This milestone Trinidad bound single export order contains LED lamps with a value well into the six figure range. According to Chief Executive Officer Jim Reid, “CLL has reached this target goal ahead of schedule, and provides strong evidence that we can manufacture and supply CARICOM and Central America quickly with quality products made in Barbados.”
CLL recently received notoriety when the company designed and produced in Barbados the first base charging unit for its unique hybrid wind turbine/solar PV street lamps. This design is now being patented, demonstrating the company’s global focus on product research and design. Reid states “we currently have leading edge renewable energy products being assembled and produced right here in Barbados”. In addition to a strong local market, CLL is also exporting across the Caribbean region.
CLL manufactures under exclusive license from ATG Electronics based in California, USA. CLL, based in Barbados’ Warrens Industrial Park began operations in 2011, imports components and raw materials to produce the latest third generation LED lighting. CLL sells directly in Barbados and through a dealer network across the Caribbean and Central America.
