In recognition of the important role international business plays within the Barbadian context, the Barbados International Business Association (BIBA) will host the second International Business Week from Sunday, October 24, 2010 to Saturday, October 30, 2010. A full slate of events are scheduled, commencing with a religious service at the St. James Parish Church at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday October 24 and concluding with a charitable event on October 30. Also on the roster of events is the play “All Things Bright And …” by the Ministry of International Business on October 28.
Invest Barbados is pleased to once again partner with BIBA in hosting the International Business Week Conference on October 28 and 29.
A panel of intra and extra-regional experts will address topics under the theme, “Surviving to Thriving – Strategies for Global Expansion in Turbulent Times”. This theme acknowledges the challenges confronting business in light of the conservative stance adopted by a number of multinational companies and international investors in the wake of the 2008 economic crisis, while at the same time highlighting the unique opportunities that operating from Barbados holds. Participants should gain insight into the kind of solutions that the international business community is seeking and market trends towards the future of the industry.
