Invest Barbados will be hosting two Global Business Seminars in Canada in the coming weeks, with the first to be held in Vancouver on Thursday, September 12, 2019, at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver and the next in Toronto on Tuesday, September 17, 2019, at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. Both seminars will start at 8:30 a.m. and finish at 12 noon, with registration commencing from 7:30 a.m.
The seminars are designed to promote Barbados as a jurisdiction of choice for investors who are desirous of setting up businesses on the island, as well as to highlight aspects of Barbados’ value proposition. Attendees will also be informed about the recent changes to Barbados’ tax regime.
The Hon. Ronald Toppin, M.P., Minister of International Business and Industry, will be the featured speaker at both seminars. Other guest speakers will include Kester Guy, CEO, Financial Services Commission, who will speak on the topic: ‘Fostering Fintech Innovation’ and Dominique Pepin, Managing Director, Tailored Ltd., who will address the topic: ‘Structuring Options under Barbados’ Tax Regime’.
In Vancouver, Mr. Zachary Kelman, Managing Partner at Kelman PLLC will speak on ‘Launching a Blockhain Project in Barbados´, while in Toronto, Trevor Koverko, Co-Founder & Executive Chairman of Polymath Inc. will share ‘A Canadian Investor’s Experience of Setting up a Blockchain Company in Barbados’.
