- Global Asset Management
The Government of Barbados is instituting several measures that will enable Barbados to develop into a global centre for private wealth management. Proposals have been made for the Qualifying Investor Fund, a single regulatory regime that is appropriate for family offices, private wealth managers and small groups of high net worth, self-managed investors. Plans are in place to establish the Financial Services Commission, which will regulate all non-bank financial activity; and proposals have been made to set up an International Institute of Financial Risk & Regulation, a global centre of excellence to train financial professionals in Barbados and the region.

Barbados and the London Court of International Arbitration are pursuing an initiative to establish an LCIA Regional Arbitration Centre in Barbados.
